Professor Morcego Alexandro Silveira

Alexandro Silveira, AKA Professor Morcego, is originally from Salvador Bahia, Brazil, and has been training under Mestre Jelon for over 30 years. During that time he moved to Houston, performed all over the United States, and began teaching his own students in Massachusetts and at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Now, in addition to teaching, he provides workshops and performances for schools, groups, adult education, and individuals. Professor Morcego also enjoys the music of capoeira and has written many original songs that attest to his talent in all areas of the art.
